Come, let's sing out loud to Yahweh — let's shout with everything we have to the rock who rescues us.

Let's come into his presence with gratitude, let's shout to him with songs.

Because Yahweh is a great God — a great king above all gods.

In his hand are the hidden depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.

The sea is his — he made it — and his hands shaped the dry land.

Come, let's bow down and kneel — let's get on our knees before Yahweh who made us.

Because he is our God, and we are the people he looks after, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today —

don't harden your hearts like you did at Meribah, like that day at Massah in the wilderness,

where your ancestors tested me — they challenged me even though they had seen what I could do.

For forty years that generation disgusted me, and I said, "These people's hearts always wander off course — they have never understood my ways."

So I swore in my anger, "They will never enter my rest."
