I will thank you, Yahweh, with everything in me. I will tell the story of every incredible thing you have done.

I will be glad and celebrate because of you. I will sing your name, Most High God.

When my enemies retreated, they stumbled and were destroyed right in front of you.

Because you have defended my cause and my case. You sat on your throne, judging with perfect fairness.

You confronted the nations and destroyed the wicked. You erased their name forever and ever.

The enemy is finished — ruined forever. You uprooted their cities, and every trace of them has vanished.

But Yahweh sits enthroned forever. He has set up his throne for justice.

He judges the world with what is right. He governs the peoples with perfect fairness.

Yahweh is a safe place for the crushed, a safe place in times of trouble.

Those who know your name put their trust in you, because you, Yahweh, have never abandoned anyone who looks for you.

Sing to Yahweh, who lives in Zion! Tell the peoples what he has done!

Because the one who demands an accounting for bloodshed remembers them. He does not ignore the cry of the suffering.

Show me kindness, Yahweh! See how much I am suffering at the hands of those who hate me. Lift me up from the gates of death,

so I can declare everything you deserve to hear in the gates of Daughter Zion, and celebrate your rescue of me!

The nations have sunk into the pit they dug. Their own feet are caught in the net they hid.

Yahweh has made himself known — he has executed justice. The wicked are trapped by the work of their own hands.

The wicked will go down to the grave — every nation that forgets God.

Because the needy will not always be forgotten, and the hope of the suffering will not be lost forever.

Rise up, Yahweh! Do not let mere humans prevail. Let the nations be judged in your presence.

Strike fear into them, Yahweh. Let the nations know they are only human.
