To you, Yahweh, I call out — my solid ground, don't go silent on me. Because if you say nothing, I'm no different from those already sliding into the grave.

Hear me when I beg for help, when I lift my hands toward the innermost room of your presence.

Don't drag me away with the corrupt, with people who do damage — the ones who talk peace with their neighbors while plotting poison in their hearts.

Pay them back for what they've done, for the damage they've caused. Repay them for the work of their hands — give them exactly what they deserve.

Because they don't pay attention to what Yahweh has done, to the work of his hands — he will tear them down and never rebuild them.

Yahweh deserves all the praise — because he heard me when I begged for help.

Yahweh is my strength and my shield — my heart trusted him, and I was helped. So my heart overflows with joy, and with my song I give him thanks.

Yahweh is the strength of his people, a safe place of rescue for his chosen king.

Rescue your people and pour out good things on those who belong to you. Be their shepherd, and carry them forever.
