That is when Michael will rise — the great protector who stands guard over your people. It will be a time of trouble unlike anything the world has seen since nations first existed. But when that time comes, your people will be pulled through — everyone whose name is found written in the book.

And many of those sleeping in the dust of the ground will wake up — some to limitless life, and some to disgrace and horror that never ends.

Those who lived wisely will shine like the bright expanse of sky, and those who led many toward what is right will blaze like the stars — on and on, without end.

But you, Daniel — seal up these words and lock the scroll until the end of time. Many will search frantically, and knowledge will surge.

Then I, Daniel, looked up — and there were two others standing on opposite banks of the river.

And one of them said to the man dressed in linen who was above the waters of the river, "How long until the end of these unthinkable things?"

The man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised both hands toward the sky and swore by the One who lives forever: "It will last for a time, two times, and half a time. When the shattering of the set-apart people's power is complete, all these things will reach their end."

I heard all this, but I didn't understand it. So I asked, "My lord, what will be the outcome of all this?"

He said, "Go now, Daniel. These words are sealed and locked away until the end of time."

Many will be refined, made clean, and tested by fire — but the corrupt will keep on corrupting. None of the corrupt will understand, but those who live wisely will.

From the time the daily offering is abolished and the horrifying desecration is set up — 1,290 days.

Life is good for the one who waits and reaches 1,335 days.

"But you — go your way until the end. You will rest, and then you will rise to receive what has been set aside for you when the final day comes."
