Yahweh reigns! Let the earth celebrate. Let the distant coastlands be glad.

Clouds and deep darkness surround him. Justice and right judgment are the foundation of his throne.

Fire goes ahead of him, burning up his enemies on every side.

His lightning bolts light up the world; the earth sees it and trembles.

Mountains melt like wax before Yahweh — before the master of the whole earth.

The skies proclaim how just he is, and every people group sees his glory.

Everyone who serves carved images is put to shame — all who boast about worthless idols. Every so-called god, bow down before him!

Zion hears and celebrates, and the towns of Judah are glad because of your judgments, Yahweh.

Because you, Yahweh, are the Most High over the whole earth, exalted far above every so-called god.

You who love Yahweh, hate what is evil. He guards the lives of those devoted to him and rescues them from the grip of the wicked.

Light dawns for those who live right, and gladness for people whose hearts are honest.

Celebrate Yahweh, you who live right! Give thanks when you remember how set apart he is.
