God, you have thrown us aside. You broke through our lines. You burned with anger — come back to us now.

You shook the ground beneath us, cracked it wide open. Heal what you shattered — everything is falling apart.

You made your people taste real suffering. You gave us wine that left us staggering.

But you raised a signal flag for those who honor you — a rallying point against the onslaught of arrows. Selah.

So rescue the ones you love — save us with your powerful hand and answer us.

God has spoken from his sacred place: "I will celebrate! I will carve up Shechem and measure out the Sukkoth Valley for my people."

"Gilead belongs to me. Manasseh belongs to me. Ephraim is the helmet on my head. Judah is my commander's staff."

"Moab is my washbasin. I toss my sandal onto Edom to claim it. Philistia — shout in defeat before me!"

Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me all the way to Edom?

God, haven't you thrown us aside? You no longer march out with our armies.

Give us reinforcement against our enemy — human help is worthless.

With God we will fight with fierce courage, and he is the one who will crush our enemies underfoot.
