This is the instruction for the guilt offering. It is something set apart — completely dedicated to God.

The guilt offering must be slaughtered in the same place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. The priest will then splash its blood on all sides of the altar.

The priest will present all of its fat: the fat tail, the fat that covers the internal organs,

the two kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the fatty lobe on the liver, which he must remove along with the kidneys.

The priest will burn them on the altar as a fire offering to Yahweh. This is the guilt offering.

Every male among the priests may eat it. It must be eaten in a place set apart for God. It is completely dedicated to him.

The guilt offering follows the same rules as the wrong-righting offering — the instruction for both is the same. The meat belongs to the priest who makes things right with God through it.

When a priest presents someone's burnt offering, the hide of that animal belongs to the priest who offered it.

Every grain offering that is baked in an oven, or cooked in a pan or on a griddle, belongs to the priest who presents it.

But every grain offering — whether mixed with oil or dry — belongs equally to all of Aaron's sons.

This is the instruction for the fellowship offering that someone may present to Yahweh.

If someone presents it as an expression of gratitude, then along with the thanksgiving sacrifice they must present unleavened bread mixed with oil, unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of fine flour thoroughly mixed with oil.

Along with the cakes, the person must also present leavened bread with their thanksgiving fellowship offering.

From each type of bread, the person must present one portion as a contribution to Yahweh. It will belong to the priest who splashes the blood of the fellowship offering.

The meat of someone's thanksgiving fellowship offering must be eaten on the same day it is presented. None of it can be left until morning.

But if the offering is brought because of a vow or as a voluntary gift, it should be eaten on the day of the sacrifice, and whatever is left over may be eaten the next day.

But any meat from the sacrifice still left over by the third day must be burned up completely.

If any of the meat from someone's fellowship offering is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted. It will not be credited to the person who brought it — it becomes contaminated, and anyone who eats it will bear the consequences.

Any meat that touches something unclean must not be eaten — it must be burned up. As for clean meat, anyone who is ritually clean may eat it.

But if someone who is ritually unclean eats meat from a fellowship offering that belongs to Yahweh, that person must be cut off from their people.

If someone touches anything unclean — whether human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean detestable creature — and then eats meat from a fellowship offering that belongs to Yahweh, that person must be cut off from their people.

Yahweh spoke to Moses:

"Tell the Israelites: You must not eat the fat of cattle, sheep, or goats.

The fat of an animal that dies naturally or is torn apart by wild animals may be used for any other purpose, but you must absolutely never eat it.

Anyone who eats the fat from an animal from which a fire offering may be presented to Yahweh — that person must be cut off from their people.

And you must never eat any blood, whether from birds or animals, wherever you live.

Anyone who eats any blood must be cut off from their people."

Yahweh spoke to Moses:

"Tell the Israelites: Anyone who brings a fellowship offering to Yahweh must bring part of it as their personal gift to Yahweh.

With their own hands they must bring Yahweh's fire offerings. They must bring the fat along with the breast, and the breast is to be waved before Yahweh as a wave offering.

The priest will burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.

You must also give the right thigh to the priest as a contribution from your fellowship offerings.

Whichever of Aaron's sons presents the blood and fat of the fellowship offering gets the right thigh as his portion.

Because I have taken the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution from the Israelites, from their fellowship offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons. This is their permanent share from the Israelites."

This is the portion set apart from Yahweh's fire offerings for Aaron and his sons, from the day they were presented to serve Yahweh as priests.

Yahweh commanded this to be given to them by the Israelites from the day he anointed them. It is their permanent right for all generations to come.

These are the instructions for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the wrong-righting offering, the guilt offering, the ordination offering, and the fellowship offering,

which Yahweh gave to Moses on Mount Sinai on the day he commanded the Israelites to present their offerings to Yahweh, in the wilderness of Sinai.
