Yahweh spoke to Moses:

"Tell the Israelites: When someone unintentionally fails to keep any of Yahweh's commands and does what is not permitted — "

"If it is the anointed priest who has failed, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to Yahweh a young bull without any defect as a purification offering for his failure."

"He must bring the bull to the entrance of the meeting tent, in front of Yahweh. He'll place his hand on the bull's head and slaughter it there before Yahweh."

"Then the anointed priest will take some of the bull's blood and bring it into the meeting tent."

"The priest will dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before Yahweh, in front of the curtain of the sacred space."

"The priest will then put some of the blood on the horns of the incense altar that stands before Yahweh in the meeting tent. He'll pour out the rest of the bull's blood at the base of the burnt offering altar at the entrance of the meeting tent."

"He'll remove all the fat from the bull of the purification offering — the fat covering the internal organs and all the fat connected to them,"

"the two kidneys with the fat around them near the loins, and the covering over the liver, which he'll remove along with the kidneys —"

"just like the fat is removed from the ox of the wholeness offering. The priest will burn them on the burnt offering altar."

"But the bull's hide, all its meat, its head, its legs, its internal organs, and its dung —"

"the entire rest of the bull — he must carry it outside the camp to a ceremonially clean place, where the ashes are dumped, and burn it on a wood fire there. It must be burned where the ashes are dumped."

"If the whole Israelite community makes an unintentional mistake and the assembly doesn't realize it — if they've done something Yahweh commanded them not to do and become guilty — "

"when the failure they committed becomes known, the assembly must bring a young bull as a purification offering. They'll bring it to the front of the meeting tent."

"The elders of the community will place their hands on the bull's head before Yahweh, and the bull will be slaughtered before Yahweh."

"The anointed priest will bring some of the bull's blood into the meeting tent."

"The priest will dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before Yahweh, in front of the curtain."

"He'll put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that stands before Yahweh in the meeting tent, and he'll pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the burnt offering altar at the entrance of the meeting tent."

"Then he'll remove all its fat and burn it on the altar."

"He'll do with this bull exactly what he did with the bull of the purification offering — the same process. This is how the priest will make things right for them, and they'll be forgiven."

"Then he'll carry the bull outside the camp and burn it, just like he burned the first bull. This is the purification offering for the assembly."

"When a leader fails and unintentionally does something that Yahweh his God has commanded not to be done, and becomes guilty — "

"when the failure he committed is made known to him, he must bring as his offering a male goat without any defect."

"He'll place his hand on the goat's head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before Yahweh. This is a purification offering."

"The priest will take some of the blood of the purification offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the burnt offering altar. He'll pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the burnt offering altar."

"He'll burn all its fat on the altar, just like the fat of the wholeness offering. This is how the priest will make things right for the leader regarding his failure, and he'll be forgiven."

"If an ordinary person among the people unintentionally fails by doing something Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and becomes guilty — "

"when the failure he committed is made known to him, he must bring as his offering a female goat without any defect for the failure he committed."

"He'll place his hand on the head of the purification offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering."

"The priest will take some of its blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the burnt offering altar. He'll pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar."

"He'll remove all its fat, just like fat is removed from the wholeness offering, and the priest will burn it on the altar as a pleasing aroma to Yahweh. This is how the priest will make things right for him, and he'll be forgiven."

"If he brings a lamb as his purification offering, he must bring a female without any defect."

"He'll place his hand on the head of the purification offering and slaughter it as a purification offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered."

"The priest will take some of the blood of the purification offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the burnt offering altar. He'll pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar."

"He'll remove all its fat, just like the fat of the lamb is removed from the wholeness offering, and the priest will burn it on the altar on top of Yahweh's fire offerings. This is how the priest will make things right for the failure he committed, and he'll be forgiven."
