From inside the fish, Jonah prayed to Yahweh his God.He said:
I called to Yahweh out of ,
and he answered me.
From I shouted for help,
and you heard my voice. into the deep,
into the heart of the seas,

All your breakers, all your waves,
went over me.And I said, I have been driven out,
gone from in front of your eyes.
Yet I will look again

But you brought my life up out of the pit,
Yahweh my God.When my life was draining out of me,
I remembered Yahweh,
and my prayer reached you,

with a voice full of thanks.
What I promised, I will pay.
