Now the whole earth had one and the same
As people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of and settled there.
They said to each other, "Come on, let's make and fire them thoroughly." So they used brick instead of stone, and instead of mortar.
Then they said, "Come on, let's build ourselves a city, with a that reaches the sky, and let's make a for ourselves — otherwise we'll be across the face of the whole earth."

Yahweh said, "Look — they are one people with one language, and this is just the beginning of what they'll do. Nothing they plan to do will be out of their reach."
